The Tidelines Table Lamp expands upon narratives of transparency and porcelain layering to mimic the soft sand markings of a retreating tide. The production of the shade harnesses a flaw of the slip casting process; an inconsistent pour results in irregular marks, known as ‘tidelines’. The lamp encompasses an element of surprise. Unlit, the sleek dome seamlessly blends with its surrounds; its unique variation of layered transparency is only revealed once illuminated. Each is hand poured, thus unique. The lamp casts a beautiful warm glow, creating a comforting calm ambiance. A beautiful addition to the home.
